Yaara Sadeh, PhD is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She works under the supervision of Nancy Kassam-Adams, PhD as part of the Child Trauma Data Archives team, an international collaborative effort that is creating the Child Trauma Prevention and Treatment studies (CTPT) Data Archive. The team is also sustaining, as well as expanding, the existing data archive of prospective child trauma studies. Dr. Sadeh is integrally involved in gathering and harmonizing individual participant-level study data across a group of about 20 intervention datasets from around the world.
Her doctoral research is grounded in her decade of practice as a social worker and in her clinical knowledge of children and families from her experience in pediatric healthcare settings. Dr. Sadeh has investigated biopsychosocial risk factors for medical traumatic stress in children and parents involved in pediatric rehabilitation care and has looked further at the impact of ethnicity and marginalization.
Yaara is a member of the leadership group of the Global Collaboration on Traumatic Stress FAIR Data Theme (a world-wide coalition of 11 scientific societies). In this work, she promoted FAIR data practices in the traumatic stress and mental health field, with expertise in data sharing, harmonization, and integrative analyses of cross-study individual participant-level data.
