Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress

A Center for Injury Research and Prevention partner program, the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress at CHOP has been addressing medical trauma in the lives of children and families for more than two decades. The Center's HealthCareToolbox.org website provides a wealth of resources for healthcare professionals: a library of downloadable patient education handouts in English and Spanish for children, teens, and parents, and a set of interactive online courses in trauma-informed pediatric care that offer continuing education credit for healthcare providers.

The Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress is also part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), a unique national collaborative effort to improve quality and access to care for trauma-exposed children, families, and communities across the United States.

In collaboration with the NCTSN, the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress has developed a number of resources for medical and mental health providers to use in preventing and treating medical traumatic stress. For information about these resources, please contact the Center at cpts@email.chop.edu.
