Dr. Flaura Winston
Since participating in REU in the summer of 2011 under the mentorship of Dr. Flaura Winston, my research at CIRP has enabled me to gain further experience by presenting at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and by training nonprofits to use the same online dissemination techniques that gave us such success with www.aftertheinjury.org.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Student (2011)

"Since participating in REU in the summer of 2011 under the mentorship of Dr. Flaura Winston, my research at CIRP has enabled me to gain further experience by presenting at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and by training nonprofits to use the same online dissemination techniques that gave us such success with www.aftertheinjury.org. Further pursuing my interest in medicine, I spent a summer volunteering at Einstein Medical Center and focused my Senior Thesis on the History of Organ Donation in France. After graduating from Princeton magna cum laude with a major in French and Italian and a minor in Neuroscience, I am thrilled to officially embark on my career as a medical student at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons."
