Injury Science REU Application Requirements
Applications for the 2026 REU Program will be accepted December 15, 2025-January 14, 2026.
If you're interested in applying for the Injury Science Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, your application must include the following required materials. Applications missing these materials will not be reviewed.

- Unofficial transcripts only (official transcripts will not be accepted).
Current Resume
Two Letters of Recommendation
- One academic letter of recommendation is required.
- The second recommendation may be academic or personal.
- Both letters must be submitted by the application deadline.
- Applications missing one or both recommendations will not be reviewed.
- Please follow up with recommenders to ensure letters are submitted on time.
Essay (500 words or less)
Your essay must address:
- How has your past experience prepared you for your preferred Injury Science REU project?
- What are your goals for the internship?
- Which REU project(s) are you most interested in, and why?
