"My summer at CHOP in CIRP's REU program was an amazing and impactful experience both for my career development as a researcher and my personal development. I got to work with two amazing mentors, Dr. Dan Corwin and Dr. Carlyn Gentile, on projects spanning from concussion care to light exposure. In addition to gaining valuable clinical research experience, working with these two physician researchers has inspired me to pursue medicine alongside my research goals by eventually pursuing a MD/PhD. In addition to my mentors, the program seminars and career development panels provided me with lots of resources and insight to carry with me in future career. I also learned a lot from the other interns in the program and developed friendships that I hope last beyond this summer!"
