I've learned how, through years of collaboration, a research question can be taken from a simulation or experiment to real data that improves lives.

Over my time as a co-op at CIRP, I've had the opportunity to work on multiple meaningful projects. From human-machine interaction research on seatbelts, to FEA analysis of the components of a sled fixture, to collecting data on children with cerebral palsy to better understand their motor control - these projects have not only challenged me but have opened my eyes to the numerous possibilities of discovering new knowledge in the field of biomechanics.

Having access to CHOP's network of brilliant research scientists, engineers, and clinicians has shown me what it means to make an impact through research. I've learned how, through years of collaboration, a research question can be taken from a simulation or experiment to real data that improves lives. I admire that every team at CHOP is driven by the same goal: to improve the health, safety, and treatment of children, and I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to that mission.
