CHOP Mentor(s):
CIRP Clinical Research Assistant (2012-2013)
"During my time at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Flaura Winston, Dr. Jessica H Mirman, and Dr. Yi-Ching Lee on studies relating to child passenger safety, teen driving, and driving simulators. I was able to gain invaluable experience in study recruitment, data collection, qualitative data analysis, poster presentations, and manuscript preparation. Being exposed to various areas of pediatric translational research has fueled my desire to continue working in pediatric health psychology, both as a researcher and a clinician.
Since working at CIRP, I have graduated from the Masters of Science program in Experimental Psychology at Saint Joseph’s University. In the fall of 2013 I will begin the School Psychology PhD program at Lehigh University, with an emphasis on pediatric health, where I am confident that the research skills I have acquired at CIRP will demonstrate to be essential to my success within my program and my career."
