Digital Communications Intern (Summer 2023)

"During the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of embarking on a transformative journey at CIRP and CVP. As a Digital Communications Intern with the Outreach and Advocacy team, I was immersed in a dynamic and inspiring environment, collaborating with dedicated professionals and engaging in impactful projects. This incredibly enriching internship has not only deepened my interest in public health, but also solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in this field.

From the very beginning, I knew this internship aligned perfectly with my interests in translating research into actionable messages and making a positive impact on people’s lives. Under the mentorship of Christine Norris, Lindsey Mitros, and Suzanne Hill, I had the chance to contribute to impactful initiatives such as crafting search-engine-optimized content, analyzing data to inform communications strategies, and engaging with various teams at CHOP to amplify the reach and effectiveness of our efforts.

Following my internship, I will be starting my graduate studies at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, pursuing a Master of Science in Public Health in Health Education and Health Communication under the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society. I am eager to apply the skills and insights gained during my internship to create a lasting and positive impact in the field of public health. I am immensely grateful to everyone at CIRP and CVP for empowering me with this invaluable experience and for showing me the profound impact that public health can have on individuals and society as a whole."
