Lindsey Mitros, BA is the Outreach Manager on the Outreach and Advocacy team at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention. In her role, Lindsey develops, implements, and directs community outreach activities and public relations strategies for the department. She works directly with CIRP’s researchers to help promote and advance CIRP's research programs through internal and external communications/marketing, media strategy, and branding. An experienced communications project manager, Lindsey focuses primarily on managing outreach and communications efforts for the Violence Prevention Initiative, a CHOP-wide effort that works to mitigate violence and its impact on children and youth in the Philadelphia community and beyond, and the National Science Foundation-founded Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies.
Prior to joining the Center in 2009, Lindsey worked as a public relations professional at a Philadelphia-based advertising agency. Lindsey earned her BA in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from The College of New Jersey. She can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
