Kristen L. Kohser, MSW, LSW is a Master's level, licensed social worker with over 10 years of experience in program and project management. She joined the Center in May of 2007 and is currently Program Manager for the Post Injury Care and Recovery Research Team, focusing on research, intervention development, and dissemination of tools to help kids recover emotionally after injury. She also works as the Program Manager of the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress and as a Trainer for CHOP’s Violence Prevention Initiative, helping to raise awareness among healthcare providers about Trauma-informed Care and Pediatric Medical Traumatic Stress.  

Kristen came to CHOP by way of Georgia, Tennessee, and San Francisco. Her prior work has involved working as a mental health clinician with children and families, intensive case management with homeless veterans, and on community-based and community-driven research. Kristen holds a BA in Sociology and an MSW in Social Work from San Francisco State University. She can be reached at
