CHOP Innovation Ecosystem

The mission of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)'s Innovation Ecosystem (IE) is to move CHOP further faster from bench to bedside and beyond. As such, it aligns well with the Center for Injury Research and Prevention’s (CIRP) Research-to-Action-to-Impact model. Directed by Dr. Flaura K Winston, founder and former director of CIRP, IE is an institution-wide, CHOP Research Institute-led strategic initiative.

CHOP's Innovation Ecosystem's cross-functional team fosters innovation through building connections, increasing capacity, and strengthening community around innovation and entrepreneurship at CHOP. It seeks to enhance CHOP’s innovation infrastructure by making it accessible and inclusive to all employees who have an idea to improve the health and wellness of children or how we care for them.

By identifying and creating innovative tools and best practices, IE aids a workplace environment that inspires, motivates, and supports faculty and staff in developing and testing new solutions.
