Vicky Ramirez is a Clinical Research Assistant I at CIRP’s Minds Matter Concussion Program, with research interests focused on social determinants of health and improving access to care for marginalized and underserved communities.

Vicky Ramirez is a Clinical Research Assistant I for the Minds Matter Concussion Program at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She joined the CIRP team at the end of 2025.

Prior to joining CHOP, Vicky earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Medical Sociology from Duke University. While at Duke, she worked as a research assistant in the Moral Attitudes and Decision-Making Lab, where she studied moral attitudes toward immigrants and refugees, and in the Culture Lab, where she examined the role of cultural values in buffering against negative health outcomes in communities facing systemic inequities.

Vicky’s interests include examining the social determinants of health, understanding how social and cultural factors shape health outcomes, and improving access to care for marginalized and underserved populations.
