Sarah Gedeon, MSW, serves as the Clinical Research Coordinator II at the Center for Violence Prevention (CVP) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In this role, she will help lead the adaptation of a firearm intervention for inpatient units, with responsibilities including study coordination, participant recruitment, and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

In this role, she will help lead the adaptation of a firearm intervention for inpatient units, with responsibilities including study coordination, participant recruitment, and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Sarah continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to preventing firearm violence affecting children and families.
Before joining CHOP, Sarah was a Research Assistant II at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center's Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP), where she led data collection and analysis efforts for violently injured patients in Hartford, Connecticut. She collaborated with community-based organizations to strengthen intervention strategies through shared expertise. Her previous work includes projects on intimate partner violence, suicide prevention education for community stakeholders, and a personal initiative focused on Black Femicide, all of which underscore her multidisciplinary approach and dedication to violence prevention.
