Liz Holzman, MSW, MBA joined the Center for Injury Research and Prevention in March of 2019 as the Center’s Grant Writer. She is responsible for grant management functions that help maximize essential funding support from external sponsors and serves as the point person on each grant project by facilitating team communication, organizing the submission process, and providing writing, editing, project planning, and budgeting expertise.
Liz earned both her MSW and MBA at the University of Michigan and went on to spend much of her professional life in Ann Arbor. She held several positions in research administration at the University of Michigan and was the Executive Director for the University Renal Research and Education Association, a nonprofit research group, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After moving to Philadelphia from Ann Arbor in 2010, Liz worked in research administration and department management for Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University. She also has extensive experience as a freelance grant writer, contributing to proposals for a variety of organizations, including the Philadelphia Film Society, the Exoneration Initiative, and the University of Pennsylvania.
