Caitlin Axtmayer, LSW, MPH serves as the Program Coordinator for the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress.
Caitlin Axtmayer, LSW, MPH joined the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress (CPTS) as Program Coordinator in March 2021. As a social worker and public health practitioner, her work aligns with CPTS’ aims to increase awareness and recognition of medical traumatic stress, disseminate empirically-based screening and interventions, provide training and educational curricula about best practices, and develop patient education resources. She also coordinates outreach and dissemination through the Center’s online and social media presence.
Prior to joining CPTS, Caitlin worked directly with pediatric patients and families as a hospital outreach specialist, and has also provided trauma therapy to survivors of sexual violence. Her past research has focused on an intimate partner violence screening development with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Violence Prevention.
