Social Media Exchange: Academia and Practice

Over the past five years, the Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP)’s digital footprint has grown by leaps and bounds. We currently maintain seven injury prevention-focused websites, six  YouTube Channels, the Research in Action blog, and several social media handles.

We know that without our colleagues from industry, advocacy organizations and government, our work cannot result in effective policies, programs and products. If done well, web-based communication can extend our knowledge to greater numbers of stakeholders, including families, who can help us protect children and youth from injury.

As the landscape of digital communications has changed, CIRP finds itself adjusting as well, and is pleased to announce two new social media profiles on Facebook and Twitter. These new profiles complement CIRP’s LinkedIn profile, websites, YouTube Channels, and blog.
