My mission as a child passenger safety technician and instructor is to educate families on the most effective ways to keep their kids safe in the car. However, because car seat safety resources translated into other languages are not readily available, parents who prefer a language other than English may have challenges finding information in their own language. To address this gap and to make safety education more inclusive, we developed car seat safety videos that are now available in Arabic.
With these videos, Arabic-speaking parents have access to these safety tips in their own language, helping them learn how to install and use car seats the right way. This ensures that they can confidently follow the correct steps and keep their children safe in the car using best practices in child passenger safety.
Our Arabic car seat safety videos are now available on our website (www.chop.edu/carseat) and our YouTube Channels (@childpassengersafety or @childrenshospphila). By making this content widely accessible, we hope to reach more families and reduce preventable injuries among children.
No parent wants to think about worst-case scenarios, but being prepared for them can save lives. With our car seat videos now available in English, Spanish and Arabic, we hope more families can access our material when searching for resources to protect their children on the road. If you know someone who speaks Arabic, share these videos with them. It is a simple way to help keep kids safe on the road.
