Welcome to the Center for Injury Research & Prevention

We are a multidisciplinary group of behavioral scientists, clinicians, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, engineers, public health practitioners, and communications professionals at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Research Institute dedicated to translating research into action to keep children, teens, and young adults safe from injury. Together, we work to translate rigorous scientific research into practical tools and guidelines for families, professionals, and policymakers to ensure research results extend to make a real-world impact.

We offer evidence-based information, resources, and tools from CHOP’s injury prevention experts across all of our pediatric injury research priorities: Teen Driver Safety, Child Passenger Safety, Pediatric Biomechanics, Post-injury Care and Recovery, Violence Prevention, and Digital Health.
