Injury Science REU Program 2017 students and other CIRP interns with a few of their mentors.

In 2011 the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at CHOP was honored to be designated a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Our Injury Science REU program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in cross-discipline research closely mentored by CIRP scientists. The 10-week summer program is fully paid and provides students with networking activities to help them achieve future career goals.

From the prevention of youth concussion research to promoting small business grants for women and minorities, the summer of 2017’s Injury Science REU Program class participated in a wide range of projects.
