Welcome to the new blog for the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! I’m Patty Huang, a developmental and behavioral pediatrician at CHOP with an interest in the safety of children and teens with developmental disabilities, and I will be the moderator of this blog.
This blog gives us the opportunity to comment and share with you the news relevant to child and adolescent injury research and prevention- this includes new research, events, resources for parents, health care policies and legislation, and items in popular culture.
Look to this space for entries from various CIRP researchers, including Drs. Flaura Winston, Dennis Durbin, Kristy Arbogast, Mark Zonfrillo, and Nancy Kassam-Adams, among others. We’ll be blogging on a variety of themes and topics, ranging from teen driving and child passenger safety to concussions and violence prevention.
Since we are new to the world of blogging, this website will be a work in progress as we develop new features and content. Please feel free to leave us feedback by contacting us on twitter @safetymd.
Thank you for checking out our new blog, and please consider subscribing to our feed, which will alert you to new posts of interest to you.
